Dear Colleagues I am delighted to attach to this email the conference programme which has now been finalised. You will see that the three track programme will run throughout the conference to ensure there is something for everyone as well as meet the expert sessions for you to attend. We are working hard on the website which will allow you to register on-line and we are hoping for this to be up and running by the beginning of February, The website will not only provide you with conference information, but you will be able to register and book the sessions you wish to attend, submit abstracts, book accommodation and browse through the social events that will be happening in and around Birmingham at that time. Groups of delegates will be able to complete a simpler version of the booking form to assist with logistics and this will also be available on the website. As usual we will be running an exhibition alongside the main conference and we are delighted that GSK and the Spiriva Alliance (BI/Pfizer) have agreed to support the event as Gold Sponsors again this year. We welcome AstraZeneca as Silver sponsors and Air Products, Draeger, Micromedical, Vitalograph, Respironics, Bedfont Scientific, Fisher and Paykel, nSpire, Intermedical, Weinmann, Bayer, Clement Clarke, and Spirotek to the exhibition. The British Lung Foundation will be attending together with charity stands from the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology (ARTP), ACPRC (Respiratory Physios) and Wisepress have already signed up to come along to support this prestigious event. With 5 months until the event we are delighted in the interest that has been shown by both exhibitors and delegates alike and more than 700 people have asked to be added to the COPD6 mailing list to ensure they get all the up to date information for this event as soon as it becomes available. Indeed we have also received our first delegate bookings despite the website not being up and running and should you wish to register in advance I attach a paper copy of the registration form which can be completed and returned to us to reserve your place and accommodation of your choice.
